CANTOS DE AGUA- YAKURUNAS-2008

This is a new project specially directed to collect songs for children based in the universal values to preserve nature, the CD will be decorated by the paintings of children from the rain forest. We particularly welcome songs from the Latin American heritage or written by a Latin American song writer based in the UK, who likes to contribute towards this project. This project is supported by the The BBC children in need and we hope to cover recording of the songs, free music workshops, workshop leaders and the presentation of such a collective work. We are already developing free music workshops to benefit community children schools in London, especially those who support Latin American children and after schools who benefit disadvantage children in the UK.

Workshops lead by Luz Elena Caicedo well known Colombian Singer based in the UK. Recording dates should be advertised very soon.

LATIN AMERICAN YOUTH WITH OUT BORDERS-2008
“JOVENES SIN FRONTERAS”

This is a exiting new project we are providing free artistic workshops at different community groups to benefit young people specially in the Latin American community but not necessarily, we will be combining filming, dance, music, poetry and present a documentary with the insights of their experience through this interesting and challenging experience. If you are 13 to 21 years old, please feel free to contact Sofia Buchuck, or send us an E-mail if you like to benefit from this project.

We are already recording the interviews to Latin American young people, their experiences and contribution to the UK.

This documentary will give us a new dimension about the views, reflexions and contrasting realities of young people across London and their participation through arts, culture, work, and studies as part of this diverse and rich city of the Diasporas. The Documentary is being developed by Imagen Latina TV with the co’ direction of Francisco and the project direction of Sofia Buchuck form the PPAUK. All interviews taken from “Carnival del Pueblo”, “Carnaval Del Thames’s”, “Cancha de Football”, and individual interviews at the “INKA ARCH” nearby Loughborough junction tube station.

We are already recording songs from young groups such as Dundee from Ecuador, Sonido Callejero from Colombia, and Indio Magico from Bolivia, among others don’t forget recoding dates are the 10th of September 2008 at Soho studies directed by one of the top sound engineers Cameron Mc bride.

PROYECTO LITERARIO “XOCHIPILI”

Diosa precolombina de las flores y el arte.

Participa sembrando un jardín y crea tus propios poemas para una antología de memoria latino americana en Londres.

UNA COMPILACION SOBRE LA MEMORIAS DE LOS MIGRANTES LATINO AMERICANOS en Londres con poemas, canciones y recetas”

A través de esta experiencia el Pro Arte Peruano provee talleres gratuitos de poesía “XOCHIPILI “con el fin de compilar una antología colectiva, sobre memoria Latino Americana fuera del continente, como parte de la memoria sobre la diáspora mundial y revalorar asi la contribución del migrante Latino al Reino Unido.

Xochipili esta vinculado tambien a vegetales y flores Latín Americanas, haciendo visible la riqueza natural del continente y su contribucion con el mundo. El Properuvian arts. UK emprende XOCHIPILLI en asociación con el Brockwell Community Greenhouse, Años dorados, y el Latín American Disabled people.

El Brokley greenhouses ha logrado sembrar maíz, papas, jitomates, chiles poblanos, papa liza, ocas, zapallos, tomates silvestres entre otros, que ahora están en pleno verdor y florecimiento. Días de visita son este 30 y 31 de agosto con un especial sobre el maíz y poesía por Alfredo Cordal de chile. Talleres de poesía a realizarse en este espacio natural los días, 8 y 15 de septiembre 3pm y el 20 y 27 de octubre 3pm en el Brocley park greenhouses.

El proyecto XOCHIPILLI también invita a escritores Latino Americanos en el Reino unido a enviar sus poemas, testimonios a seleccionarse para poderlos incluir en esta compilación literaria.

La temática principal es la memoria de los migrantes en el Reino Unido, recopilación de historia oral, mitología y tópicos universales como el amor y la naturaleza. Se incluirá recetas de comidas latinoamericanas compartiendo así la rica herencia culinaria con las demás culturas del mundo.

Participación de niños con dibujos para el diseño de este libro colectivo está abierto a todos los jóvenes de las distintas minorías étnicas de esta contrastante ciudad. Telleres de pintura para ninos gratuitos en el green house son
