POLICY STATEMENT

This is a unique non-political cross-culture voluntary organization providing arts, education, media, cultural and training services for the wide community.

" The organization is committed to practice which protects all children, young people and vulnerable adults from harm, regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or religion. Staff and volunteers of this organization accept and understand our responsibilities to develop awareness of issues that cause child harm."

The Pro-Peruvian-Arts combine's expertise education programmes with high quality productions, to bridge professional artist and academics with the local community participation
     
   
               
 
 
HISTORY

The PPA has been found the September 20 th of 2001, to commemorate the Peruvian poet Cesar Vallejo, and develop communitarian events, projects and to celebrate culture and heritage with the local Latin American community and the host community in London.

The pro-Peruvian Arts, is signatory of the equal opportunities act.

   
       
     
                     
OUR OBJECTIVES ARE
  • To promote the benefit the elderly, refugees, and women, particularly to support and help ethnic minorities of the inhabitants of London, children, professionals, artists, musicians, poets, academics, from the Latin-American community and the Andean traditions.

  • To advance the education of the members our organization by organizing different events and interactive workshops of literature, language, traditions related with cultural issues.
  • To relieve poverty by empowering of local community expressions and broaden cultural understanding to avoid discrimination and social exclusion and celebrate heritage, integration and develop a sense of belonging.
  • To provide the youth from the area with safe environment to learn, develop and expand their skills, knowledge, and confidence; to enhance their chances of quality of life and well being.
  • In further more to these objectives, but no further or otherwise the association shall have the following powers:
  1. To supply advice and guidance to further those mentioned above.
  2. To provide workshops, lectures, conferences, visits and discussions, cultural festivals, enjoyment and participation.
  3. To present and promote, literature talks, exhibitions, tutorials, seminars, courses, workshops and showcases, whether or any pre mises of the association or otherwise.
  4. To employ professional staff and agents and to make provisions for the proper remuneration of any expressions.
  5. To promote the right to communicate, to assist free flow of information and opinions, to encourage creative expressions, contribute to the democratic progress and pluralistic society.
  6. To provide access to training and production and distribution facilities to encourage local creative talent and foster local traditions and services for the benefit entrainment, education and development of the audience.
  7. To provide or assist the provision and maintenance of facilities provided by the organization to achieve the above-mentioned objects, and to enrich the global Diaspora capital of London by promoting and developing the culture and presence of ethnic minority groups such as the Latin American community in London.
